Design & Development
Step 1 - Onboarding
Onboarding starts with a discovery call where we discuss your business goals, and what you're looking for in a website. This is where we decide scope of the project, and make sure we align on design direction.
Next I'll write a project proposal based on our discovery call discussion. This proposal will outline the timeline, scope, and price of the project.
Finally, if the proposal looks good we can sign the contract and start working on your website.
Step 2 - Development
The first thing I'll do is create a sitemap and collect stylized media to use as references. This will allow us to visualize the look of your website, and make aesthetic decisions early in the development process.
The next step is to build the website homepage. I build the homepage fully before any other pages, because it is the page most often seen by your customers. At this point, you'll send me any branding, logos, and copy that you want added to your website.
Once the homepage is complete I'll build all the other pages. I'll also develop any extra features such as content management systems (CMS), contact forms, and animations.
Lastly will be all the final optimizations. Search engine optimization, adding favicons, page descriptions and page social images. I'll do last minute testing to make sure everything is working as expected.
NOTE* After each of these 4 development steps there will be a revision period for you to request changes. Each revision period lasts 24 hours, and contains 1 round of revisions.
Step 3 - Launch
Now we get to pick a launch date for your website. An ideal launch date will be at a time with low website traffic.
In the background I'll be double and triple checking website functionality. I'll be performing last minute stress testing to make sure all components are working as expected.
Now it's time to launch your website. I will be closely monitoring to make sure everything is working correctly, and your website is handling traffic as intended. Now you can sit back and let your website reach new customers.
